Leverett Triumphs Over Elephants, Breaking House Football Deadlock

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Leverett beat Eliot yesterday, 12 to 6, dropping the Elephants to second place in the inter-House football league.

Ray Craven of the Bunnies grabbed a pass and scored from the Eliot 20 yard line for Leverett's first touchdown and sophomore Howard McEldowney made it 12-0 as he carried the ball from the two yard line.

The Elephants had been tied with Winthrop for first place in the league, while Leverett was in a four-way tie with Adams, Kirkland, and Dudley.

In soccer, Lowell defeated Adams, 3 to 1, Eliot tied Dunster 1 to 1, and Winthrop and Kirkland tied at 0 to 0. The scheduled Leverett-Dudley game was not played.

There were no touch football games scheduled yesterday, but today Dudley will meet Eliot and Winthrop will play Dunster.
