Winthrop Keeps Lead In House Competition

First place teams in five winter sports boosted Winthrop House to a point total of 779 in the inter-house Straus Trophy competition. The Puritans increased their earlier lead in the race by gaining championships in swimming, wrestling, A and B league basketball, and A squash.

Though Dunster had no first place teams in winter sports, it gained with its fourth place A basketball and second place B basketball teams, and retained second place with a total of 687.5 points. Kirkland is in third place with 635.5, while Leverett stands in fourth place with a score of 629.
