The possible elimination of review sessions over WHRB should not seriously affect students taking Music I, Victor Yellin '49, head section man in the course, said yesterday.
Yellin explained that the only change would be that the Music Department would not provide someone to comment on the music as it was played. "WHRB is free to play the music if they so desire," he added.
He did, however, critize past reviews as having persented "erroneous information in some instances." He said that the reviews attempted to cram tremendous amounts of information into short periods of time and that this could not be done successfully in a subject such as music. "Reviews of this type," Yellin declared, "are usually stupid lists of generalizations which hinder, rather than help, students."
Yellin also denied that the listening labs would become compulsory.
