The Yardling track team unleashed its latent power Saturday against the Penn freshmen in retribution for Cornell's having broken its winning streak last weekend. The final score in the Philadelphia meet was 88-42.
Dave Rosenthal was big winner for the freshmen, as he took both hurdles and the broad jump. Sandy Dodge won both the 100 and the 220, while Bill DeKiewiet led Yardling sweeps in both the discus and the high jump.
The Yardling nine bowed to Yale, 7 to 1, in New Haven Saturday. The Elis limited the losers to three hits, two by Maurice Balboni and one by Larry McCully. Harvey Friedman and Tony Branon pitched for the Yardlings.
