NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Forty-six high school science teachers are currently taking University courses under a program sponsored by the National Science Foundation.

Sixteen universities and about 800 teachers are participating in the $4.25 million program which provides over $3,000 to each one for a year of study.

During their stay, the secondary school teachers will study mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology. Besides doing advanced work, many are enrolled in Physics 1 and other elementary courses in order to become better grounded in the subjects they teach.
