To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

Professor Gaetano Salvemini died in Sorrento, near Naples, on September 6, 1957.

To fulfill the wishes expressed in his will, three of his friends are preparing an edition of his collected works. One of the volumes planned is a collection of Salvemini's letters. It is hoped that some interesting letters which he wrote over the years to American friends may be lent to his publishers. Anybody who possesses such letters is asked to kindly send either the original (which will be immediately returned after being copied) or a photostatic copy.

For Salvemini's biography, personal notes, memories, and anecdotes would be very useful. His editors would be grateful if friends, acquaintances, former pupils or colleagues were to write any anecdote, impression or story relating to him which may be used to complete a picture of his many-sided nature.
