All R. O. T. C. Groups Plan Commissioning Ceremony for Today

A joint commissioning of graduates of the Army, Navy and Air Force R. O. T. C. programs at Harvard University will be held for the first time this morning at 11:45 a.m. When 88 seniors will be commissioned as officers in the Armed Forces.

The Commissioning ceremonies will be held in Sever Quadrangle immediately following Class Day exercises.

The Navy will commission 45 seniors as ensigns and three as second lieutenants in the Marine Corps, the Army will commission 34 as second lieutenants, and the Air Force will commission six as second lieutenants.

Captain Richard T. Spofford, U.S.N., professor of Naval Sciences, will administer the Oath of Office.

President Nathan M. Pusey and Dean McGeorge Bundy of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences will address the graduates.

Dean Douglas Horton of the Harvard Divinity School will give the invocation and benediction.
