Fencing Team Holds 8th Place in Tourney

The varsity fencing team finished eighth out of eleven schools in the first half of the Eastern Intercollegiate Fencing Championship at the Hotel Con-course Plaza in New York City yesterday.

Navy, closely followed by New York University and Princeton, was ahead in the tournament after epee and foil were completed yesterday. The contest in sabre will take place today.

Tony Enders turned in the best score of the day for the Crimson with seven wins and three losses in epee. Jim Roberts, 4-6, Dave Schwartz, 2-5, and Al Gardner 3-0, also fenced in epee.

In foil, Captain Bill Trebilcock, Dave Johnson, and Phill Charat all turned in 4-6 records.
