Jim Dwinell's infield hit in the eleventh inning scored Dave Morse with the winning run and gave the freshman baseball team a 6-5 win over Dartmouth yesterday at Soldiers Field.
Morse singled to center, moved around on a sacrifice and a passed ball, and then scored the run that brought the Crimson its ninth win of the season and Tom Boone his fourth mound victory.
The Yardlings rallied for four runs in the second to take an early lead in the game after they had allowed the visiting Indians to tally once in the top of the inning. Dartmouth pitcher John Cox then kept the Crimson scoreless on two hits until the fateful eleventh.
