The Summer School Chorus is preparing for its annual concert on Thursday, August 13th. This year's program will include choruses from Handel's oratorio Solomon, motets and madrigals of the Renaissance and the Twentieth Century, the Solemn Vespers by Mozart, and the Ode to St. Cecelia by Norman Dello Joio.
Professor Harold C. Schmidt, director of the chorus, has announced that the Mozart work requires a small orchestra of woodwinds, trombones, timpani, and strings. Interested parties may contact him at the Music Building, extension 2791, or in Sever 11 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
This year's chorus is the largest in the history of the Summer School.
