Pusey to Inaugurate Charities Fund Drive

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

President Pusey will initiate the annual Combined Charities Drive tonight with a speech at Quincy House. The Drive, which will continue through Friday, has as its total goal $22,500, the largest amount in its history.

In order to insure success Michael H. P. Belknap '63, co-chairman of the Drive, has asked each student to give ten dollars. More important than the size of each contribution, Belknap emphasized, is 100 per cent participation throughout the College.

The Drive, organized to protect students from repeated solicitations by individual drives, serves as the central agency at the University for all charitable institutions. Contributions designated for any charity will be accepted, although the co-chairman have recommended six as particularly worthwhile.

The six recommended charities include the Combined Charities Scholarship, created this year to help upperclassmen who need financial aid.
