For the first time in the last three years an extra-curricular course in college teaching will again be offered to graduate students.

The course gives students "a preview of the rewards and responsibilities of the academic profession," according to the course sponsors, the Harvard Faculty Committee on Teaching as a Career. Topics covered will include lecture techniques, faculty duties, and the teacher's relation to his students.

Leading faculty members will participate in the course's nine Monday-evening sessions, October 16 through December 11. Among those taking part in the course will be Howard Mumford Jones, Abbott Lawrence Lowell professor of the Humanities; Robert G. McCloskey, professor of Government; and Eugene G. Rochow, professor of Chemistry.
