J.V. Eleven Loses

The J.V. football team was defeated by a strong Brown eleven in an away game last Monday, 27 to 18. The contest was held on a rainsoaked practice field, since the rest of the facilities were under five inches of water.

Brown opened the scoring early, snagging two touchdowns in the first quarter. The Bruins scored on an end run by the quarterback, and added a second T.D, on a sustained drive.

Harvard came back with scores by Stan Yastramski and Ronnie Cloutier, only to see their efforts erased by two more Brown touchdowns. Though Denny Byrne picked up one more Crimson tally in the closing minutes of the game, it was too late to prevent defeat.
