A noted Israeli scholar has been named visiting professor of Hebrew and Jewish History at the University next year. Jacob Kats, dean of the Elieser Kaplan School of Economics and Social Sciences at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, tought school in Palestine-Israel from 1934 until 1950, when he joined the faculty off Hebrew University. He has been dean there since 1958.
