BEHAVIORAL CENTER NAMED AFTER JAMES

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harvard's new Center for Behavioral Sciences will be named after William James, an American pioneer in the scientific study of man, the University announced last week.

The 14-story William James Hall will house the offices, laboratories, and classrooms of psychologists, sociologists, cultural anthropologists, and others studying man and society.

The new Center was designed by Minoru Yamaski of Detroit and will be built on Kirkland Street at the corner of Divinity Ave. The site is just a block and a half from Lawrence Hall, where James installed one of America's first psychological laboratories.
