Widener May Institute Night Paging Service

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Widener Library may extend its paging service into the evening next Fall to enable undergraduates to get books from the stacks whenever the library is open.

At present a student without a stack pass has no access to books in the stacks after 5:15 p.m. when the paging service closes.

A questionnaire was distributed in Lamont and Widener libraries yesterday to guage student reaction to this plan. Louis A. Sasso, administrative assistant, said he thinks the extended service is something the library should be doing and he expects the student response to be favorable.

Extention of the paging service would probably serve to reduce congestion at the circulation desk during the peak hours of the afternoon, Sasso said.
