Draft Resisters Gain Followers at Columbia

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

NEW YORK, Feb. 25--In a poll of Columbia College seniors taken last week, 40 per cent of the students who answered the questionnaire said that they would resist the draft. Over half of the 570 students who comprise the senior class completed the written poll.

Thirty-five per cent of the students polled, including most of those who had indicated they would resist the draft, said they would leave the country rather than face induction. Afghanistan, Mexico, Israel, and Canada were listed as possible exile homes.

About half of the students questioned said they would serve if drafted.
