Law Dems Back RFK, McCarthy

The Harvard Law-Graduate Democratic Club voted last night to support Robert F. Kenedy's candidacy for the Presidency, and to urge the Law School Faculty to readmit students whose studies are interrupted by the draft.

The Club accepted a resolution to "wholeheartedly approve the entry of Robert F. Kennedy into the Democratic presidential race." The statement also reaffirms the Club's previous endorsement of Senator Eugene J. McCarthy.

Young Dems stressed the importance of submerging the two candidates' differences to the "major goal" of preventing President Johnson's renomination.

The Club also approved a resolution to urge the Law Faculty to readmit without loss of credit students who are drafted, obtain occupational deferments and who go to jail or Canada for "conscientious or moral reasons."
