More than 250 students at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences have signed a petition protesting the election procedures for student representative to the University Hall investigating committee.

"We are forced to choose among candidates who are unknown, and not permitted to express views on the issues involved," the petition said.

The Graduate Students' Association "alone could not be expected to devise acceptable procedures," the petition said. The petition urged taking "immediate steps to create a body that genuinely represents graduate students."
