The Harvard freshman football team amassed 326 yards total offense yesterday but completed only one pass as it defeated Holy Cross, 27-19, in Worcester.

Linebacker Alex Tennant and safety Dave St. Pierre led the Crimson defense, which recovered six Crusader fumbles.

Harvard kicker Bruce Tetrick connected on three extra points and two field goals. The field goals, for 41 and 27 yards, were the first kicked by a freshman in three years.

Nick Leone, Ted Schick, and Justin Harrington scored on runs of five, 43, and 68 yards respectively for the Crimson. Harrington was the leading rusher with 97 yards in 11 carries. Jim Stoeckl, the Yardling quarterback, completed one pass for eight yards.
