LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
In a near-duplication of the varsity match, Harvard's freshman squash team downed the Amherst J.V.s, 8-1, yesterday afternoon in Hemenway Gymnasium.
As in the varsity meet, the Crimson's lone defeat occurred in the second position, where Ned Bacon, after a strong start, fell to his opponent by a 10-15, 15-5, 15-12, 15-10, margin.
With this lone exception, Harvard charged to an easy triumph, led by number one man Mark Panarese, who was one of seven Crimson racquetmen to win in three straight games.
Completing a Harvard squash sweep yesterday, the Crimson J.V.s traveled to Exeter and came away with a 5-2 victory.
Harvard was led by the inspired play of juniors Geordie Thomson and Tim Berkowitz, each of whom rallied from 2-0 game deficits to sweep the final three games and the victory.
Losses by Dave Evans, in the number one position, and Dave Gray, at number four, prevented a Crimson sweep.
