Radcliffe lacrosse surged to an easy 12-2 victory over Wellesley yesterday, as senior Nancy Cochran accounted for half of the team's offense.
Cochran's six goals were closely matched by sophomore Holly Loring's four tallies. Sophomore Jane Waldfogel and freshman Ann Johnson completed Radcliffe's fusillade. Interestingly, all but Johnson attended Concord Academy, a local lacrosse power, before coming to Radcliffe.
Coach Molly Quinby said yesterday that the game represented a "strong showing considering four members of the starting line-up were not able to play".
The game was marred by two serious injuries. One Radcliffe player severely twisted her knee and another was hit in the mouth by a shot.
