HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The Busch-Reisinger, Harvard's Germanic museum, will be showing the work of Josef and Anni Albers through mid-August. The Albers have exceptionally fine modern craftsmen who contributed vastly to the Bauhaus's enduring reputation as the bastion of contemporary design. Josef is represented in the Busch's exhibit by paintings, lithografs, wallpaper and photographs. Anni's work includes weaving samples and textile design paintings.
The Fogg continues to show its Maurice Wertheim Collection of works from the Paris School (Matisse, Cezanne, Rousseau, Picasso, etc.) and its display of Legendary Paintings of Bali. The Bali showing was master-minded by David Irons '67, who acquired the paintings while studying Balinese music.
The Mudflat Pottery School, a non-profit organization located in Kendall Square, will be offering courses in potting during the summer at dirt cheap prices. Harvard's pottery studio is closed for the summer, so if you're looking for some place to do your clay work, call 354-9626 for more information.
