Harvard ski team captain Eric Klaussen fell yesterday in the first run of the giant slalom at the NCAA's championships held at Park City, Utah. Klaussen, seeded 28th in the country, was hampered by ruts that developed in the soft Western snow.
Tor Melander of the University of Vermont won the race, followed by University of Utah skier Scott Hoffman. National champion UVM took first, third and fourth in today's race, while Western champion Utah took second, fifth and sixth.
