To the Editors of the Crimson:

How could you possibly have allowed the use of the Crimson Building for the filming of the TV movie with Melissa Sue Anderson? This simple-minded saga of a girl going gaga over an older man married to her Expos teacher is extremely demeaning to women and particularly offensive and stereotypical about women at Harvard. According to this film, they spend all their time in French restaurants plotting how to get men. And describing how good-looking they are.

The Crimson should not endorse such sexist tripe. Moreover, a teacher's husband sleeping with a student is an outrageous violation of the trust of the university, and is not a fit subject for dramatic portrayal. Willa Brown '81   Penn Law School '85
