In the aftermath of its Beanpot loss, the Harvard men's hockey team can find some consolation in the emergence of freshman forward Rob Millar.
Due to an injury to senior forward Kirk Nielsen, Millar was rewarded with his first start in Friday's game against RPI and produced immediate results. He netted the third-period goal that keyed the Crimson's improbable 4-3 comeback victory.
As an encore, Millar recorded a hat trick in Harvard's 6-0 pounding of Union the following evening, just his sixth collegiate game.
For his efforts, Millar was named ECAC Rookie of the Week.
