The following incidents were recorded in the Cambridge Police Department blotter in the past week.

Nov. 19, 1997

A Newton resident was arrested at 2:10 a.m. after climbing through a third-floor bathroom window.

An employee of Cardullo's, located at 6 Brattle St., reported that at 5 p.m. a person entered the store and purchased items with an altered $1 bill. The edges of the doctored bill had been made from a $20 bill.

Nov. 20, 1997

A Willow Street resident reported that on Nov. 11 at 7:45 p.m. he was assaulted by two people in a bar located at 873 Cambridge St. The reporting person said he was struck in the facial area with a bottle.

Nov. 21, 1997

A Memorial Drive resident reported he was struck by a maroon Ford while riding his bicycle on Mass. Ave. near Memorial Drive on Nov. 13. The resident stated that he was knocked off his bicycle and that the front wheel of his bicycle was damaged. The driver of the Ford fled the scene without identifying himself to the bicycle rider.

At 3:30 p.m. an employee of CVS reported that an unknown person set Christmas decorations and ribbons on fire. The approximate value of the damaged merchandise was $68.

At 2 p.m. a Dorchester man reported that at approximately 1:45 p.m. he was attempting to park a company truck on Mass. Ave. When he was approached by a person who began arguing with him about a parking space. The Dorchester man observed the suspect entering his truck, removing the key from the ignition and then leaving the scene with the key.

Nov. 22, 1997

At 7:40 p.m. a Dorchester resident was arrested at 575 Mass. Ave. and charged with underage possession of alcohol, selling liquor without a license and procuring alcohol for a minor.

At 8 p.m. an employee of 1 Brattle St. reported that a man entered the store and removed nine pairs of jeans valued at $49.50 each. The man left the store without paying for the merchandise.

At 10:55 p.m. a Harvard Street resident reported that sometime between 5:30 and 8 p.m. on Nov. 21 an unknown person broke a small stone statue that was located outside her home. The statue was valued at $30.00.

Nov. 23, 1997

A resident of Mattapoisett was arrested on the morning of Nov. 23 at 4:05 a.m. after threatening to rob the Shell gas station located at Memorial Drive and River Road with a handgun.

Nov. 24, 1997

At 2:30 p.m. a juvenile was arrested for assaulting another person with a kitchen knife as well as being a minor in possession of alcohol and a class D substance. The incident took place at the CambridgeSide Galleria Mall.

A Raymond Street resident reported that between Nov. 20 and Nov. 24 an unknown person cut a hose going to her fish pond, killing all the fish. Previously, someone had flooded the pond.

A Francis Avenue resident reported that an unknown person wrote a derogatory word in the snow on the rear window of her car. Her car was parked in her driveway at the time.

Nov. 25, 1997

A Stoneham resident reported that a vending machine was unbolted and removed from a car wash located at 2013 Mass. Ave. The building was damaged due to the removal of the machine.
