PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Chris Grancio, Harvard (Senior center, 6'8) South Hamilton, MA Grancio was a major factor in both of Harvard's games this weekend. First the versatile big man scored a career-high 25 points in Harvard's loss to Princeton. But big points in a losing effort does not an Ivy Player of the Week make. The next night, in the senior's final game in front of a hometown crowd, he scored 26 points and grabbed nine boards to help the Crimson to an overtime victory over the Quakers. On the weekend, he corraled 14 rebounds and was an amazing 16-of-17 from the free-throw line en route to his 51 points.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Michael Jordan, Penn (Freshman guard, 6'0) Philadelphia, PA This weekend, Jordan was on fire. The Penn rookie has been dazzling all season, and this week's games against Dartmouth and Harvard was no exception. His Airness scored 13 points and dished out five assists against the Big Green before recording a double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) to go along with four assists and two steals. This is the seventh time this season Jordan has garnered Rookie of the Week honors, making him the odds-on favorite for Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
