ASK AID FOR BOSTON Y. M. C. A.

University Canvass in $100,000 Drive Takes Place This Morning.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A canvass of the University dormitories will be made this morning by a committee of the Christian Science Society to collect funds for the benefit of the Boston Young Men's Christian Association. An effort is being made to raise $100,000 for the Boston branch in order that it may continue in its important war work connected with the large numbers of soldiers and sailors in the vicinity. No aid was received by the local Association from the $35,000,000 drive under the direction of the National War Council of the Y. M. C. A. last autumn, and if support is not given in the near future it will become impossible to keep the Boston building open to men in service without charge.

The University students who will make the canvass are W. Butterfield uC, A. P. Evans 3G, S. T. Ferguson '18 and A. E. Raymond '21. They form a committee of the Christian Science Society appointed for this purpose. Checks for this $100,000 fund should be made payable to Lewis A. Crossett, treasurer, and may be sent to W. Butterfield, Weld 1, S. T. Ferguson, Weld 9, or to Mr. Crossett at 316 Huntington avenue, Boston.
