We shall perhaps be doing service to many in college who would like to take a general course in the literature of music, but who have no knowledge of technicalities of the subject, by explaining that Music III, as at present planned is a course precisely suited to their needs. Prof. Paine has hopes that a large number may elect this course so that an interest in music and a knowledge of its literature and history may become more widely extended. The course itself will undoubtedly be one of great interest and full of profit to those who may elect it.
