The university honors itself in selecting Minister Lowell as its representative to attend the coming tercentenary celebration of the University of Edinburgh. A graduate of the college and still holding a professorship, on leave, at Harvard, Mr. Lowell thoroughly represents the best phase of Harvard culture, and the university may feel assured that its reputation abroad can be put heightened by its possessing such a representative.
