Mr. Fessenden, '87, has been chosen scorer of the freshman nine.
The nine plays a championship game with Amherst at Jarvis Field, on Wednesday.
As the funeral of Mr. Lovering will occur today, the Bowdoin game arranged for this afternoon has been postponed until Thursday.
The following college games take place this week: Wednesday, amherst vs. Harvard, at Cambridge; Friday, Brown vs. Dartmouth, at Hanover; Saturday, Yale vs. Harvard at Cambridge. (Exhibition), Princeton vs. Amherst, at amherst.
The "Sunday Herald,"in its account of the Yale-Brown game says: "There was a great deal of excitement throughout the game, but not much money was up, excepting some that was bet by Harvard men who came down to back Brown and lost." It is rather surprising to find such a statement as this in the Herald, one which, even if it were true, would be in very bad taste, when in reality it is utterly without foundation.
