We wish to call the attention of every member of the freshman class to the lacrosse team which has just been formed, and urge upon them the importance of fall practice. It was to the lack of this that '88 owed its poor success in the field last season. The present freshman class has plenty of good materiel within its ranks, and it should all be brought out. There is nothing discouraging in the fact that so few men are acquainted with the game, for, outside the preparatory schools of Boston and vicinity, few have a chance to see it played, much less take part in it. Therefore, let all who have the physical strength, and really care to play, go out and practise every day, and we have no doubt that the result will be seen next season in a strong and successful team.
