HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The Connecticut men in college held a meeting on Tuesday evening and organized themselves into a Connecticut Club. The Club will be strictly social but the main object will be to promote the interests of Harvard in the Connecticut Preparatory Schools. The membership will at first be small, as there are only nineteen men from Connecticut in the University, but many new men will enter with '92 who will be eligible to membership. The officers for the coming year will be H. B. Gibson, '88, president; A. E. Beckwith, 91, secretary and treasurer; F. B's. Williams, '88, G. H. Black, '89, and F. B. Babbitt, 91, executive committee.
