The present senior board of the CRIMSON will retire immediately after the mid-year examinations and the work of publication will then devolve upon the underclass editors. It has been customary in past years to elect one freshman editor before that time, and that custom will be maintained this year. Thus far there has been very little competition for the position and only two or three men have signified their desire to try for it. Probably a false idea of the amount of work required deters many men from trying. The work is not excessive and is amply repaid by the benefit and pleasure derived. The chief requirements for election are the ability to get news and to write intelligible English. All contributions sent in will be considered, even if not published, and promising candidates will be assigned special work. We hope that neither diffidence nor laziness will keep men from writing.
