At the indoor handicap meeting of the Boston Athletic Association on Wednesday evening, O. W. Shead '93 broke the club record for the standing broad jump and the running high kick. The record for the broad jump was 9 feet 7 3-8 inches; Shead jumped 9 feet 11 3-4 inches. The event went to S. A. Coombs B. A. A. who had a handicap of 1 foot and a jump of 9 feet 4 1-2 in. E. B. Bloss '94 (handicap 1 foot) took second place with a jump of 9 feet 2 1-2 in.
In the 15 yard dash Shead won second place, Coombs coming in first.
The running high jump was won by Shead with an actual jump of 5 feet 5 inches. He had a handicap of six inches.
In the running high kick there was a tie for second place between H. G. Moffitt and Shead. Moffitt won the toss and Shead took third place. Both men broke the old record of 8 feet 6 inches by kicking 8 feet 7 3-4 inches.
