It is gratifying to learn that the loan-furniture system has proven so successful this year that the committee which has it in charge feels encouraged to try to work on a larger scale next year. Any scheme of this kind which reduces in a legitimate way the necessary expenses of the man who desires to go through college as economically as possible deserves to be encouraged. We hope that the circular issued by the committee to seniors, to which attention is called on the first page, will meet with a considerable response. Many men are here afforded an opportunity to help forward a very worthy plan in an inexpensive way to themselves.
