Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament.
Though the weather was fine, few were present, and the playing was not especially good. In the afternoon however a large number of prominent society people were present and the playing was an improvement over that of the morning. As will be seen by the score, the Harvard men, Wrenn, Hoppin and Winslow all won, while Yale's representative, Fowler, was easily defeated by Chace of Brown. The score as far as known is as follows:

WEDNESDAY.Yesterday Harvard fared badly as Howland of Yale beat Wrenn 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, and Larned of Columbia beat Winslow 6-3 6-4. Chace of Brown beat Wyckoff of Cornell 6-4, 6-4.
To wrest the cup from Harvard it will be necessary for the successful college to win more points than Harvard, since, according to the rules governing the contest the college possessing the cup retains it in case of a tie.
