HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
Mr. L. D. Garfield, superintendent of buildings, left last night for Chicago, where he will take charge of the work of bringing back the Harvard exhibit. The packing of the cases will occupy two or three weeks, and as they will be sent by freight, they probably will not arrive for five or six weeks. The different collections will be separated and distributed among the departments from which they were taken. None of them as parts of the exhibit will be shown here; the only exception to this rule may be in the case of the photographs taken by the Harvard Camera Club. No definite arrangements have as yet been made for showing these, but as they are of such special interest to the students, the club hopes to exhibit them soon after they arrive.
