Wednesday afternoon, on the Yale Field, the Yale freshman eleven won a close and well played game from the Princeton freshmen.

The Princeton team was better than the average and was much strengthened by Suter and Baird of the 'varsity, but the good team work of the Yale eleven decided the game.

In the first half Yale scored two touchdowns and kicked both goals, making the score 12 to 0. The first touchdown was made on a fumble, after Yale had steadily rushed the ball to Princeton's 15 yard line, and the second resulted from a blocked kick.

At the beginning of the second half, Princeton made a strong rally and by short rushes and clean, hard play, scored a touchdown. The goal was kicked. Yale then braced up again and scored once more by steady team work. The goal was missed and the final score remained 16 to 6.

Baird played well for Princeton, and for Yale the best work was done by Hine, McFarland and Sheldon. Hine especially, played a very strong game.

The victory bears witness to the hard work and good training of the Yale team and was in no way due to individual play.
