FOR NINETY-NINE'S ELEVEN.

A large number of men met in Sever 5 last night in response to the call for candidates for the freshmen eleven. There were several very heavy men among the candidates and the average weight was considerably greater than usual.

Captain Brewer talked briefly to the men on the necessity for hard work and perseverance in training for the team. He urged them to work together as a whole rather than to attempt brilliant individual plays.

A blank was passed to each candidate to be filled with his first, second and third choice for captain. This was not for the election of a captain but to give the coaches an idea of the more prominent men among the candidates. Only a few of the blanks were filled. W. C. Forbes will be head coach.
