On Saturday the cricket team played Brockton and won on the score of the first inning by 29 runs.
Brockton was compelled to follow on and succeeded in putting together a score of 89, but Harvard had not enough time left to bat again. The second inning therefore counted for nothing. The feature of the game was a good stand made by Haughton, who, after the first six Harvard men were out for ten runs, saved the game by a well-played inning of 24 not out.
As the score shows, both teams were strong in bowling. For Harvard, Adams took seven wickets and Hastings three.
