Library Acquisitions.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Harvard Library has recently received a very valuable addition in the private library of Edward Ray Thompson of Troy, N. Y., who stipulated in his will that his books should either be sold at auction or be given to some institution of learning. The executors chose the latter course and gave the library to Harvard.

The books, numbering about sixteen hundred, have just been received. They consist chiefly of a general collection of English literature, but there are also many French books. They are all of good editions and a considerable number of them are in handsome bindings. Although they will be largely duplicates they are books which will be of much use to the Library.
