The Camera Club will have this year a reading room where all the illustrated photographic magazines will be on file and collections of famous pictures as well as member's prize pictures will be constantly on exhibition. To this reading room will be sent from time to time the work of the best men in the field as examples and incentives for club members. Here also the club will hold informal social meetings for mutual criticism.
Three exhibitions will be held during the year, a loan exhibit of work by members of the New York Camera Club the regular club exhibit and contest in February, and a third exhibit in June.
The first regular meeting will be held in Brooks House on Wednesday evening, October 10, at 7.30, when the president will announce the programme of lectures for the year and read two short papers on "New England Camera Club Activities" and "Some Photographic Effects and How to Make Them." All College men interested in photography are invited. At the second meeting Professor George Santayana of the Department of Philosophy will give the first regular lecture of the year on "The Photograph and the Mental Image."
