ON SOLDIERS FIELD.

The Freshman Team Plays Exeter This Afternoon at 3 o'Clock.

The Freshman football team plays its first important game this afternoon with Exeter at 3 o'clock on Soldiers Field. Exeter has one of the best of the interscholastic teams this year and the game promises to be one of the hardest of the season. Exeter this year has been fortunate in the return of a number of last year's substitutes and from these and the nucleus of old players a very fast team has been developed. End runs and kicking will probably be Exeter's principal tactics this afternoon. The Freshman team has not taken the brace expected since the tie game with St. Mark's. Much shifting about in the line has resulted in poor team work. The strongest part of the team at present are the end positions.

The result of last year's game with Exeter was 0 to 0.

Following is the line-up: Freshmen.  Exeter. Hutchinson, l.e.  r.e., Smith. O'Connor, l.t.  r.t., Brill. Robinson, l.g.  r.g., Cooney. Bleakie, c.  c., Hooper. Jackson, r.g.  l.g., Rogers. Jones, r.t.  l.t., Hogan. Burgess, r.e.  l.e., Rockwell. Marshall, q.b.  q.b., Conner. Pruyn, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Knibbs. Lindsay, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Preston. Skilton, f.b.  f.b., Reid.
