Mr. Hurlbut's Trip West.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Mr. B. S. Hurlbut started yesterday on a six weeks' trip through the Middle West and South, during which he will visit prominent Harvard graduate clubs and preparatory schools for the purpose of laying before them the interests and needs of the University. His visits to the graduate clubs will be a further step in the work assigned to him as corresponding secretary, which has been, in part, to secure positions in business and as teachers for Harvard men after graduation.

It is thought that much may be accomplished by personally enlisting the various graduate organizations in this work.

Mr. Hurlbut will speak in Albany tonight, and on his way to Chicago he will stop at Utica, Syracuse, Buffalo and Cleveland. From Chicago he will go to Milwaukee, Dubuque and thence to Washington, returning by way of Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pittsburg and New York.
