The Yale university four oar, and freshman crews were all out on the river early yesterday morning. As an experiment, Dr. Gallaudet gave the charge of the day's coaching to John Kennedy, a well-known professional oarsman and boatbuilder. He coached the crews particularly on ease of motion and economy of energy.
