The funeral of the late Professor Thayer will be held in Appleton Chapel today at 2 o'clock. The service, which will be very simple, will be conducted by the Rev. Alexander McKenzie, rector of the First Congregational Church of Cambridge, and by Professor Frances G. Peabody. The interment will take place at Mount Auburn cemetery.
