The Fencers' Club will hold a handicap tournament open to all members of the University on Friday, February 16 at 7.45 p.m. in the Hemenway Gymnasium.

A. S. Thacher 3L., M. deDiaz 5S., and G. H. Breed '99 of last year's team will act as judges. A first and possibly a second prize will be given. To non members of the club an entrance fee of fifty cents will be charged, which entitles a man if he chooses, to enter the club without further charge. All entries should be sent to F. W. Hitchings, 96 Brattle street, before 4 o'clock on February 16.

The prospects of the club were not of the best, owing to its tardy organization this year, and also to the fact that all of last year's team have left the University. But the large number of new men who have come out indicate a strong team. This week's tournament, with several others to come, will be held in order to gauge the material preparatory to selecting a team for the intercollegiate tournament which takes place late in March.
