Yale won the University and Freshmen races at New London in June 27, Harvard winning only the four-oared event. After the races H. Bullard '02, of Dedham, Mass., was re-elected captain for 1902.

The University race was very close through out, Harvard leading most of the time until the last half mile, when Yale spurted and won out by 1 3-4 lengths.

The Yale Freshmen led Harvard over the whole course, and easily won by a margin of 3 lengths.

The Harvard four pulled away from Yale at the start, and kept gaining throughout, finally winning by 5 lengths.
